During our initial meeting, we will look at your current market position and set some clear goals of what you want to achieve with your internet marketing. We will also talk about search engine optimisation, the different technologies available to you and methods for attracting visitors to your website.
We'll take the information we get from this meeting to take a clear look at how best to meet your needs.
The work on your new website begins by setting out its architecture in a very simple way - known as a wireframe. This will indicate the priority of elements discussed at the initial meeting and map content, structure and how users will access information. We will also work out what we need from you to put together the site (and in what file format) and supply you with a breakdown of costs and a proposed schedule of works.
Before our design team can start work on the visual elements of your new site, an account manager will work with you to gather text and images and logos that you have that will help us to put together your site. We will make sure everything is in a format we can work with and source additional photography and copywriting if necessary.
With the site structure agreed and all content received, our design team will begin putting together the first draft of the home page. All elements of the user experience will be considered, such as how buttons, menus and any interactivity will work We'll select appropriate typography, colour schemes, images and videos, all to enhance your brand's identity. The design will then be submitted to you for your comments and we will amend the design until it is exactly right for you.
When you've signed off the visual designs, our team of developers will then begin turning them into a fully-functioning website. The first step is to tie the design in to a Content Management System (CMS) framework. Additional fancy coding features - to give your site some added Hughes Media chutzpah - may be added. We'll work hard to make sure your site will be bug-free, robust and resilient every step of the way.
Once the framework has been completed we will start to add the text and images using a Content Management System. We'll take this stage seriously and edit copy as we go as well as formatting text to make it easy to read on screen. We'll crop, resize and streamline images to ensure that your website loads quickly. We'll link all of the pages of content together to make a working website.
Before your shiny new site can go live, some stringent tests will be run to see how well it performs in up-to-date versions of the most popular web browsers around. We check its overall quality, functionality, optimisation, load speeds and, of course, security - we'll make sure that it's not only your site that secure, but also any data it may collect from your customers.
Let's take it live! The story's not quite over yet though. If we haven't done so already we'll be helping you with training on how to update your website. All websites require regular maintenance and updates to keep both Google and your customers happy. We'll be on hand to give you any support you may need, or if you need a rankings boost with focused marketing, email campaigns and SEO.
